I’ve had this drawing pad for at least 15 years… and now I’m going to use it. The Paper-For-Pens-ness of this pad made it undesirable for sketching because it was very smooth. There wasn’t a lot of predrawing that could be done without rendering it funkafied; but I never had the heart to toss the pad out. I mean, it’s good paper. Now that I’m doing these Cosmote pieces (small, purely ink doodles) this paper is coming in very handy. I thought I’d be able to just grab any old scrap paper and doodle away, but I’ve already encountered certain grades of paper that just kill my pigment pens.
