Weather System

So… it’s official…
6 more weeks of Winter. At least that’s what the groundhog says. Although I don’t think we’ve even had 6 weeks of Winter out here in sunny California. We seem to be coming up short on a lot of vitals in my state this year: snow, water, and money!

I hear there’s a little snow up in the mountains though. I haven’t gone up to board over any of it this season, but I just got extended an invitation to go this Friday. So I’ll be unpacking my gear, hosing the dust off my board, scrapping the rust off my edges, and praying for a little powder. These are among my favorite Winter rituals.

May this small piece, ‘weather system’, be a token of homage.
